We were very pleased with Bill and his company Golden Sky for a front and backyard renovation.   We had a tired, and too small patio with uninspired landscape that we wanted to turn into a usable room and entertaining area.
We had initially thought we would go with a design/build firm, but could not get to an agreement with them about execution on the design, and Bill won the bid with his stratightforward feedback and approach to the project.
The project was organized, the crew was on time, courteous and capable.  We apprecited the foreman Hector on site.   We would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a true professonal.

We had some draining issue in our backyard back on February 2021 and our grass became soggy after a rain storm.  This prompted us to redesign our backyard and frontward with drought tolerance design. I do recommend that you should make a decision which trees to go prior to requesting for  quotes.  We had bushes and evergreens weed that grew big thru the years but they do provide privacy. Many of the tress dropped a large amount of leaves and debris, but it wasn't in our mind to remove. We got quotes for everything but that side.  Bill had 2 Foremen, Autoro and Hector.  Auroro was assigned to our project. The foreman can drive the tractors, cutting pavers, and overall heading the project. Autoro and his team arrived at 7am and end their day around 3pm. During pandemic, the prices of wood went up so instead of building a roof covered gazebo, we ordered on at Costco online. I waned a sink and mini fridge along with waterfall. They automatically  added water pump behind the waterfall so there's no manual steps of pouring water into the fountain.  Bill's electrician contract, Javier, was also great to work with. He connected the electrical wiring for backyard to a different switch box not being used so they don't short circuit the rest of the house. He installed the chandelier under the gazebo which we used a lot now. When the gazebo was being built, our foreman pointed out that the gazebo will be lower than the screen door so we asked them to build 6 posts to raise the gazebo. This is where expertise really matters, Autoro took off for family vacation and Hector came by to continue the work with same kind of professionalism. Bill also worked with a  landscape designer, Todd, who stopped by and  recommended plants for the yard if you have no idea what you want planted. It's an additional cost but, it's worth it.  His vision to spread out plants a certain way just made it for. The path lights added a nice touch at the end as well. Estimate for our project was 4-6 weeks, and they finished around that time. After completion of the project, we had a lot of work picking up the leaves due to unattended one side. We end up calling a tree trimming service to remove the tall trees and stumps. We also ordered more  sweet California bay trees to fill up the space. Make sure you determine your max spending limit as things do add up! Our experience with Golden Sky was a positive one and we do  love our new pavers and the irrigation. All the plants are happy .Thank you Bill and team!

We were referred to Bill and his team at Golden Sky through a family member for whom he did several projects. We were not disappointed. Once we scoped the initial project based on plans from our designer, we were given a budget that was very reasonable. Work commenced almost immediately. The team took great care in our small court to be courteous of neighbors even while using large machinery for excavation grading. The concrete pour was fast and relatively painless...he did not cut corners and brought out a full crew to get the job done right. At each phase of the project he had courteous and skilled people doing their part. When changes needed to be made on the plans (it happens) there was discussion and then they were applied. If things didn't work right or something on the plans would not work, we adjusted...no questions asked. We were especially happy with his foreman who was always available on cell phone, explained things to us that we didn't understand, and was genuinely a great guy (thank you Arturo!)
All in all the yard is everything we could have hoped for. Bill and his team do great work and would be an excellent choice for any project.

Very pleased with our recent updated landscape work with Golden Sky. Bill Tran was great to work with. Listened to and discussed our needs and the crew was flexible during the work process to accommodate the usual changes you experience doing a project. We were worked into the schedule within two weeks of the planning stage being completed. Other companies had waits of several months to start on new projects. Felt all the work (watering system, new plants, hard scape) were high quality improvements.

My wife and I designed an idea for our Backyard and met with 4 different contractors.  
While Bill's quote wasn't the lowest price, he was the most engaged and interested in the details and best approaches of the job.   He also was able to start the job within a couple weeks - all other contractors quoted us 6-8 weeks to begin the job.  He planned to finish the job way before they could even start!
As with most renovations/updates of this scale, you run into issues, but we could always count on Bill to find a solution that achieved what we wanted.
One thing that really made the difference was that Bill and his team treated our house as though it was their own.  Despite significant construction materials, equipment, etc.  Every night for the full 5 weeks his team would make sure the front of the house was neat and tidy and safe.  We've had many construction crews at the house, none have been even close to Bills. Lastly Golden Sky Landscaping's work was excellent, Bill turned what was a basic 2D design on paper into a Real Oasis in our own backyard.  Everything is great, from the Built-in BBQ, to the Ledger wall, pavers, and our favorite element; the Wood Pizza Oven/Fireplace Combo  etc...
We thank and appreciate Bill and his teams work.  
We won't hesitate to recommend Bill to our friends and family and will definitely use him again should we come up with new plans for our yard in the future!

I have looked through every landscaping company in my area with a Yelp review of 4 or more stars. I eventually chose Bill because of the quality of his work and the competitiveness of his price. Bill is very friendly, professional, and trustworthy. I hired Bill replace much of the hardscaping on my property of about a quarter acre. He did pavers, concrete, retainer walls, drainage, irrigation, laying pipes throughout the property for future electrical use, removal of unwanted plants, set up water fountain, set up low voltage lighting, fencing, and so much more. Whenever I had a problem (rarely), Bill would take care of it. I always wait a while to leave a review. I need to see how the work holds up and I need to know what kind of after-project customer care is provided. Bill is excellent in every way. I did not have to worry about anything with him. I explained to him the plan once and he got it. He made sure everything was done right and in the best way. He would consult me if there was something that didn't make sense. It was such a relief to have Bill work on my property. He is now my go-to landscaper. If your project is large and stressful like mine was, just hire Bill. He will take all the stress off your shoulders.

We had a terrific experience working with Bill and his team at Golden Sky. We had full-yard planting designs, and we needed someone to install them. Bill provided a very fair quote, was available to start immediately, and communicated with us regularly throughout the project. And his team did a BEAUTIFUL job. They ordered excellent plants for us (sod, trees, and perennials were all of really nice quality). Planting, sprinklers, sod and ground cover installation (both rocks and bark) were done expertly. The team was happy to make adjustments as we worked, too. We are delighted by our beautiful new landscaping! And we would heartily recommend Golden Sky

We found Golden Sky on Yelp. After reading alot of reviews we contacted Bill who was very quick to make an appointment for a quote. We did a front and back yard remodel.
Bill was responsive to text, e-mail, and phone calls.
His team was very on time in the mornings.
The foremen were great, very dedicated and worked with us when we wanted minor adjustments. They gave us their input and tried to make everything work within our budget.
Bill was also great in coming by after project completion to do an inspection and touch-ups.
The only downside was that after about 2 weeks, progress slowed as the contractors were pulled away for other projects.
Overall, we're very happy with our landscaping and relieved to see it all completed.

Loved that they showed up in a mask and generally wore it during most of their work. The work was excellent and done in a very timely manner. Bill's teams worked hard to get our driveway and back patio pavers done and the result was beautiful. We asked for a minor change and were able to accomplish it efficiently with no complaints and in a very timely manner.
I highly recommend Golden Sky.

Bill gave great advice and his team was a pleasure.

\After seeing Golden Sky work on multiple properties in my neighborhood, I contacted them to quote my remodel (backyard travertine decking around a swimming pool). The owner, Bill, responded immediately, came over to walk thru the property for measurements, then provided a competitive quote.
Of all the contractors I've worked with in the past, none have shined like Golden Sky. Highlights of my experience include:
1. Excellent communication and frequent updates. Bill literally responds to all of texts regarding schedule, materials, random questions, etc... within minutes. He even sent a Happy Thanksgiving gif on Thanksgiving - He is truly customer centric.
2. Quality work. Arturo (Bill's foreman) is an artist and takes pride in his work as if the property were his own. He exceeded our expectations on the design and rollout of our hardscaping project - it turned out beautifully. Moreover, he fixed 2 of our fence posts (which were leaning a bit) at no additional cost because (in Arturo's words) "you can't have a leaning fence next to this beautiful travertine deck!"
3. Schedule Compliant. Bill's previous life must've been a project schedule guru because he had his crews available to work whenever my erratic pool contractor couldn't show up on site. Of the various contractors working my complex backyard project, Golden Sky was the only one that completed per schedule.
4. Trustworthy. If Bill says his crew will be on site at 7AM, they are there at 7AM. If Arturo says his proposed drainage design and layout is optimal, you can bet it not only works perfectly, but it's done beautifully.
Honestly, signing a contract with Golden Sky was the best thing that happened in 2020. Golden Sky is awesome to work with and I definitely plan to use them again to remodel my front yard in 2021.

Look no more.... Golden Sky team (Bill, Hector, and the team) makes the whole process feel like a breeze.  

Bill has always been on top of what needs to be done next. Materials were lined up, and the crew had something to work on every day.  Our project completed slightly late (due to added scope of work) and through out the whole 8 weeks, there were probably total of 3 days that the crew did not show up because they were waiting for pavers and grass to arrive.

In addition, he also made a recommendation to dig up irrigation for our lawn to allow the rain water to flow and not create a puddle. This was not in our architecture plan but he recommended what was important to having a lasting backyard.

Hector who is the lead on-site was also super awesome.  He speaks with customer service mindset.  You could tell that he wishes the best for the clients to have beautiful, high quality backyard.  He always cleaned up after the job each day and we didn't ask for any of it.   

We had worked with other contractors for other renovation projects, but the breeze, stress-free, and high quality work that the GS guys did for our backyard is beyond words.  I can't say enough of thank you's to them.

We were lucky to have found Golden Sky to build our backyard. Very stress free!

Bill helped us landscape our backyard by first removing 12 fruit trees that were making a lot of mess.  Afterwards, his team installed pavers and artificial grass to the remaining unpaved area (~1400 sq ft).  His crew also tore down our old awning and installed a larger one.  Originally scheduled to take about 4 weeks, Bill and his crew completed the job for us in 2 weeks.  We love the work Bill and his team did for us and will use them again for future jobs.  We've already recommended Golden Sky Landscape to our friends.

We worked with Bill to do an extensive backyard landscape job including  hardscaping of blue stone patio, BBQ area with fire pit plus a rock wall that was hand built, plus softscaping of lawn and various trees and plants.  His bid came in very competitively, and his team came in and worked very fast and efficiently.  The entire back yard is now complete and we are very happy with the results.  We have already hired him to complete our front yard landscaping.  I would recommend that you monitor the work done at the end of every day to make sure it's done exactly how you would like.  If there was a correction that needed to be made, Bill and his team were on it right away.

We found them to be responsive, fair on price, flexible in scheduling us when there are a lot of landscape jobs in this season, and most importantly creative as we discussed design in working with existing hardscape and the new fountain.

Bill has done two projects for us now. The first one a year ago to pave a concrete path around the house and get rid of several planting areas and patch with concrete, and the second one this month to build a pergola. 

He always marked on the ground with us on the first day of work to make sure the locations are exact, and made sure we didn't need to change our plan. His team always arrived on time for work and you can totally tell there's good team work. Some of the guys came this time were the same ones for the project a year ago :). They also cleaned up after they're done. For building the pergola they had to cut some wood in my yard, and it was all cleaned up. 

He built the pergola according to my sketch and made suggestions on details. He also accommodated last-min change on adding some overhang on the pergola professionally and nicely. We're very happy with him and his team!

Imagine turning 1100 sqft of ugly looking asphalt driveway into a wonderful "paved" driveway with nice plants on both sides in 3 days! I have nothing but good things to say of Bill and his crew. It took them just one day to "demo" 1100 sq ft of asphalt driveway along with 2 huge boxed hedges along a J drive. And 2 days to completely finish laying the pavers. 

And along the way, Bill also took care of the sprinklers,  removed 2 diseased fruit trees from my backyard, removed my dead lawn and put in a brand new one as well. And he also suggested that tiles of my front porch would not contrast well with the pavers once he was done; that is exactly what happened and he helped install a nice set of tiles to replace those as well. 

Today, we spend hours on our front paver driveway and the back admiring the workmanship.  

I will use him for all of my other jobs as well. If you have a driveway or landscaping or backyard job, look no further than Bill and his crew!

I can't recommend Bill Tran and his company highly enough. We've done a lot of home improvement projects over the years and Bill is the most professional person I've come across in this industry.

We hired Bill's company to renovate our driveway and front porch. Bill did a great job in all aspects of the job - he helped us decide on the materials and looks to settle for, and once the job started, his crew was as professional as he himself. His crew's craftmanship is extraordinary, the work is very clean and there were no flaws.

Bill goes way out of his way to make sure his clients are satisfied with his work. Our project had some visual issues with it becuase of some weather issues soon after the project was finished. I reached out to Bill and explained the situation, he sent his crew member to inspect the issue in a timely manner and addressed the issue without any additional cost. That's the ultimate definition of professionalism.
